Works in Progress
1965 Plymouth Barracuda

This is a 1965 Commando V8 Plymouth Barracuda nicknamed The Hell Fish.
It was originally owned by my father who sold it to my grandfather. It has been sitting for many years now.
I have finally caught the bug and Im trying to restore it into a sweet daily driver (with the help of the 1962-1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse).
It is white with gold interior, 273 with 4 barrel carb, automatic, and A/C.
The body has minimal rust and is straight. The engine has not ran in some time, so it is getting rebuilt.
This is my first attempt at restoring a car, so it a slow process to get it going.
Update! Follow the restoration's progress via Dustin's The Hell FishWeb Site.
Thanks, Dustin!
You've picked a winner for a first time restoration!
There's nothing that can compare with keeping a classic Mopar in the family. Great!
You also are smart to join in the '62 to '65 Mopar Clubhouse discussion. There is a lot of wisdom and help available in that group! :-)
Don't worry. Restorations always take longer than anticipated, just take your time, take lots of pictures along the way, and plastic bag and label everything your remove so you will remember where it goes when re-instalation time arrives!
Keep us posted, please.
